PICK ME UP / UPDATE

After an incredibly successful opening Thursday evening, which saw practically the entire London creative scene descend onto Somerset House, the "Pick Me Up"show has been running a few days now with great attendance. The show has something for every taste and is a far and reaching treat for the eyes with lots to purchase form the very reasonable to the exclusive. Well worth a trip down to the beautiful Somerset House if you can make it down before closing on the evening of 29th April.

You can see a few shots of my space at the show by clicking the link below.

This Thursday sees the opening night of Pick Me Up, the UK's first contemporary Graphic Art fair, at London's beautiful Somerset House.

Alongside the brand new print commissioned especially for the show I will be exhibiting a selection of both commercial and personal work with some pieces, previously unavailable, for sale.

Emily Forgot will also be giving a short talk with Glug at the event.

SOLO SHOW

Over the coming months I will be working hard towards a solo show of all original work in London scheduled for the end of the year. This will be the first London solo exhibition proper, my first in which only original work has been shown and will showcase a series of brand new canvases alongside drawings. Location is under wraps for now. To be kept in the loop you can sign up to our mailing list by clicking the link below.

GAGOSIAN

An interesting little article from Arrested Motion documenting the "Urban Art" scene inching a little further over the perceived borders into the traditional "Fine Art" realms, in the form of Faile at The Gagosian.

PICK ME UP / SOMERSET HOUSE

I am very pleased to have been selected as one of 25 exhibitors from around the world to show in the first ever UK commercial art fair "Pick Me Up" at London's prestigious Somerset House.

It is a double bonus as, not only will the exhibition be designed by the beautiful hand of Michael Marriott, I will be exhibiting alongside good friends such as Melvin Galapon, Mr Bingo and Alex Trochut among others. Somerset House is also commissioning each artist to create a brand new limited-edition print for the fair which will be for sale exclusively through Pick Me Up.

Aswell as the curated exhibition there will be a multitude of events, installations and eye candy from the likes of PeepShow, Rob Ryan and It's Nice That taking place throughout the duration of the fair.

JUST WHAT I NEVER WANTED / KK OUTLET CHRISTMAS SHOW

-
Opening on December 3rd at Hoxton Square's KK Outlet is the charity group exhibition "Just What I Never Wanted."
-
I'm very pleased to be part of a glittering, hand picked list of creatives who have donated gifts they've received over the years (along with the story behind each one) to be auctioned off in aid of the homeless charity Shelter. It should make for a great night, with some amazing and unexpected treasures to snap up.

WALLPAPER* MAGAZINE / POLAROID PROJECT / SEMBLANCE

-
The lovely Wallaper* Magazine has just put live their Polaroid Project which hails in the much missed instant format film going back on sale thanks to a very savvy move from Urban Outfitters.
-
"In celebration of this new generation, we bagged ten cameras before they hit the shelves and passed them on to ten of our favourite, pioneering creatives and asked them to shoot one film each of whatever they chose. The results are mixed, grainy, blurred, brilliant and haphazard in places, but each of the photographs has the essence of what makes Polaroid so beloved"
-
I chose to document the making of my forthcoming "Semblance" exhibition.
-
You can see galleries from some incredible talent such as Noma Bar, Abake, Troika and Preen among others.
